The Way Home / 2013
What is home for me? “Home” is much more than just an address, a house or a physical place of residence…it’s a feeling beyond the physical appearance, the comfort of the interior, the warmth of the hearth…
“Home” is where I feel good about myself, where I can find my dear memories and true emotions… Feeling of home cannot be seen, it can only be felt. When I am “at home”, I can dig deep into my soul, right under the skin. When arriving home, I feel my soul at ease.
There is no way home. Home is the way Thầy
The archive of tender emotions: special moments, intimate and truly private.
How safe and courage you could be , deep in the heart we brings anchoring points of strength. Something remembering home, some heartstone, talisman, imagined or real.
Between Instinct and Intellect / 2011-2012
The world is evolving and femininity is changing. Women are challenging stereotypes and rethinking their roles as our society transforms. Men and women are establishing new, different relationships…Everyone is looking for their place in this changing universe, a place where they can feel mentally and physically at ease.
Emotional intelligence, independence, sexuality, careers, masculinity, femininity… the balance is changing.
Daiga Alise Freimane’s paintings are a story of human relationships. As women are of course not isolated in this world, her works recount their relationships with nature, men, other women, society…In Alise’s tableaux, we perceive a sensitivity and feminine emotion speaking through masculine, even brutal, forms.
Personages / 2008-2010
The paintings of Daiga Alise Freimane remind us of the meaningful paradoxes about the illusion of the visible world. What we actually see as objective and true reality is only a narrow aspect of a much larger and hidden world igniting the woman artist’s inner harmony with strokes of color and composition. The artist’s work speaks directly to the spectator by introducing supplemental emotional dimensions, encouraging searching for answers in a harmonic silence. Dr. Aivars Ikselis
